We know from our own experience that small watercraft are too often uncomfortable, cause excessive fatigue and even physical damage to the spine. This is because small boats are too short to ‘ride’ across a wave. Instead, they slam into the wave, causing a shock to pass through the feet and spine. The result is fatigue and discomfort. The slamming action also means that the boat makes little headway through the water, reducing fuel efficiency.
The c-fury™ overcomes these common drawbacks with a host of innovative design features. The result: unparalleled ride quality, comfort and significantly enhanced fuel efficiency for a small craft.
Innovative hull design The c-fury™ has an innovative hull design, for which a patent is pending. The catamaran, hydrofoil and large air ducts provide superlative efficiency, stability, sea keeping and shock reduction. The ride is exceptionally smooth, reducing fatigue by approximately 40%. While all our watercraft handle well at low speeds, they are specifically designed to handle high speeds and aggressive turns in a safe, controlled manner.
Rider ergonomics Rider comfort – and hence enjoyment – lies at the heart of the c-fury™’s design. The seat is sculpted and absorbs shock, while the seating position ensures good posture. Your feet are placed in wide non slip foot wells, enabling you to quickly stand if the need arises. Central and symmetrical positioning of the controls reduces the physical strain to the driver from overreaching for the throttle.
Fuel efficiency The lift produced by the large air ducts in the hull means that the c-fury™ rides above the wave. A higher proportion of the outboard’s power is converted into forward momentum, which significantly improves fuel efficiency. Based on available market information, we calculate that the c-fury™ uses 30% of the fuel required by a PWC and 58% that of an equivalent RIB. Not only does this reduce running costs but, by significantly extending the fuel range and on-water time, it considerably enhances your enjoyment of the c-fury™.
Low wake The c-fury™ produces far less wake than PWC or standard RIBs, reducing the impact on other water users. This makes the c-fury™ ideal as a support craft for other water sports.
Ease of use We want everyone to enjoy our sport. And we know that complicated controls can be off-putting for beginners. For more experienced users, all those fiddly little knobs and buttons are particularly annoying when you’ve been out for a while and your hands are getting cold. So we designed the c-fury™ controls to be simple to use, clear to see and easy to operate. The steering is intuitive and has an exceptionally direct response. The Yamaha gauges are large and clear, while the high dashboard position shows you the craft status at a glance.

Handlebars are intuitive to use – after all, just about everyone has ridden a bicycle. So they are well-suited for those new to boating, as well as for those coming to the c-fury™ from a jet-ski background. Our handlebars are designed to enhance your enjoyment of the c-fury™, with an unusually responsive steering action that allows direction changes never before possible associated with outboard powered craft. We have incorporated an electronic trigger throttle into the handlebars to give instant throttle response so that you can precisely balance the power required to the driving conditions. Take your index finger off the throttle and the c-fury™ stops immediately. Selectable 'Sport' or 'Learn' modes determine performance level and functionality. Large, quick-action rocker switches for engine trim and cruise control are at your fingertips, so both hands remain in contact with the handlebars at all times, whether seated or standing. This gives you enhanced control over the craft, improves your ergonomic positioning - and so reduces fatigue - and considerably adds to the performance and safety of the c-fury™. Handlebars will be fitted as standard on the Storm, and will be an optional extra on other models. Expected launch date: January 2011. Guide price: £1,500.00 |
